How long can I stay in Malaysia with an MM2H visa?
It depends on the tier you choose. Silver holders get 5 years, Gold gets 15, Platinum gets 20, and the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) category gets 10. Not sure which tier fits you? Get in touch with us.
Is property purchase mandatory?
Yes — all MM2H applicants are required to purchase a residential property in Malaysia. The minimum value depends on your tier, starting from around RM500,000 for SEZ/SFZ up to RM2 million for Platinum.
How long does the application process take?
Typically 3 to 5 months from submission to approval. The earlier you start, the sooner you're settled.
Do I need a licensed agent to apply?
Yes. Since 2024, all MM2H applications must be submitted through a government-authorised agent — direct applications are no longer accepted. Fun fact: we happen to be a licensed MM2H agent, so you're in the right place!
Can MM2H holders work or run a business in Malaysia?
Only Platinum holders are permitted to work or hold director and shareholder positions. Gold, Silver, and SEZ holders are not allowed to work or conduct business. If working in Malaysia is part of your plan, we can help you find the right visa pathway.
